PracticePals ("PracticePals," "we," "us," or "our") provides weekly printable math practice for families, delivered by email. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit practicepals.co or sign up for our worksheet packs, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or subscribing, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

PracticePals is a small, independently operated service. We are the controller responsible for your personal information. Our contact address for privacy matters is hello@practicepals.co.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you sign up for a free pack or subscribe, you provide:

Your name (or first name), so we can address our emails to you.
Your email address, so we can send the worksheet packs and related messages.
Your child's grade level (a number, grades 1 through 5), so we send practice that matches the right grade.

We do not ask for your child's name, and we do not create accounts for children. The grade level is used only to choose which worksheet pack to send.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, some information is collected automatically through standard web technologies, including:

Your IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system.
The pages you view, links you click, and the date and time of your visit.
Referral information (the site or link that brought you to us).

This is collected using cookies and similar technologies through our analytics provider. See "Cookies and analytics" below.

3. How we use your information

To deliver the worksheet packs you signed up for, to the right grade.
To send you related emails, such as a welcome message, occasional updates, and (if you become a paying subscriber) billing and account messages.
To operate, maintain, and improve our website and the quality of our packs.
To respond to your questions and provide support.
To protect against fraud, abuse, and security risks, and to comply with legal obligations.

Where required by law, we rely on your consent to send marketing emails, and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service for the other uses above. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights and choices").

4. Children's privacy

PracticePals is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). We do not create accounts or profiles for children.

The only information we collect relating to a child is a grade level, which you (the adult) provide, and which we do not use to identify any individual child. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@practicepals.co and we will delete it promptly.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run PracticePals, and only as needed for them to perform their service. These include:

MailerLite — stores our email list and delivers the worksheet packs and emails to you.
Netlify — hosts our website and serves it to your browser.
Google Analytics (Google) — helps us understand how the website is used, in aggregate.
Google Drive (Google) — hosts the worksheet PDF files that we link to in our emails.
Stripe — if and when paid subscriptions are offered, Stripe processes payments and stores billing details. We do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of PracticePals, our users, or others. If PracticePals is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

6. Email communications and opting out

Every marketing or worksheet email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time by clicking it, or by emailing hello@practicepals.co. If you become a paying subscriber, we may still send you essential service messages (such as billing or account notices) even if you opt out of marketing email.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and to measure how it is used through Google Analytics. Analytics cookies help us see which pages and packs are popular so we can improve them. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work. You can learn about Google's practices and opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

8. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your subscription is active or as needed to provide the service. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will remove it from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of it, and the right to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@practicepals.co and we will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the rights described above; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under that law.

10. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we work with established service providers that maintain their own security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take protecting your information seriously.

11. Where your information is processed

PracticePals is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection rules than your own.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will provide a more prominent notice (such as an email). Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
